COMM - Petra in a Cardboard Medium

Commission for , who requested that his friend Petra got the bad end of someone's ability to make still-life (in this case, a carboard cutout) out of unsuspecting people.  And then, what do you do with former-people-art?  Well, durh, you display it!  Cause what good is art if everyone can't enjoy it?    Unfortunately for Petra, that may mean she might be there for a long while.  And if the painting behind her is any indication, there's a pretty good chance she'll have more company the more time goes on.  Oh noes!  How horrible!  

There are a lot of things I really like about this picture-- the materials on the cordons came out really well, and the lighting rigs, for the most part, turned out really nice.  I'm pretty happy with the model for Petra, too.  It took a couple tries to get some of the tweaks just right on her, but I'm fine with the results.  The postworking tended to bring out her skin tone and color well, too.  (If there was one major thing I didn't like was that real life caused this one to take as long as it did.  I'm hopeful that maybe work and home life will calm something like right the f**k down and give me an opportunity to get back into being creative.  I have a lot of projects in the hopper, but I tend to have my time slip away from me really quickly anymore, and it absolutely irks me.  Unfortunately, the real world sometimes does that.  So apologies to my other commissioners that it's taking this long for me to get back on track.)
