Commission for , and I really hope he likes it, because I really think it's one of my best renders... and to be honest, I really enjoyed finally figuring out how to get it to look good! This would a bit more anatomically correct (thus the adult rating) version of Rain from the anime series G Gundam, turned into living metal while enmeshed in the tentacles of a big nawsty mecha... at least, I think.
See, I think I am the only person on earth who adores statuification and still never went out of my way to catch this particular G Gundam scene (one which it seems every statue-lover holds near and dear to their hearts ) ...simply because I have never really cared for giant robo/mecha shows. I watched Robotech, Voltron and Transformers. Beyond that, I've always been more into magic than big ol' guns.
That doesn't mean I don't care for the scene, however, and it doesn't mean I didn't enjoy making it! And yes, I modeled, and textured every one of those tentacles myself in C4D. Yayyy! Go me! And also, last night (starting actually New Year's Eve), I watched my computer chug and wheeze through rendering this picture for 21 hours, which sets a new record for length of time on any one render!
Anyways, Model posing in Poser 5, Modeling, texturing and lighting in Cinema 4D 8.5, and Postworkage in Photoshop CS. Hope everyone enjoys it!

That metallized Rain looks really sexy! However, I kinda wish she was more like chrome silver than metallic white. That’d be beautiful!
Would you ever consider doing a revision of this in chrome silver?
