Artist's Comments

An exercise in Depth of Field, reflective materials and modeling.... and something to do to keep my mind off other things around here. Hopefully I'll have a journal up soon, and some responses, but I haven't been able to focus on writing very well recently. :sigh:

Special thanks on this one go to NV for allowing me to make use of one of her characters, Amelia, in a way that I'm sure neither her nor Amelia would be thrilled about... of course, considering I'm doing the artwork, I doubt she expects any less. :XD:

Yes, sometimes the Collector catches folks trying to break into his manor home. And if they're worth salvaging, they often get sold on the black market later. Nicaedus tends to like irony like that. Because Amelia's is gold and Nicaedus's is statuified women, this works well as #71. Obsession on my 100 Challenge list, too.

Poser, Cinema 4D and Photoshop. Models from Daz, Danie and Marforno, Runtime DNA, and the incomparable et al.

You know, you'd think people would warn thieves about that place. How inconsiderate :p

Fantastic pic - the glinty gold of the statue neé thief goes really well with the background of the room.

Honestly, one of the best gold pics I've ever seen.

I also like the pose a lot. You can picture her trying to run away, and getting hit in the back. Nice.

While BlackMatryx would beg to differ and say her gold statue is the best gold you've ever done, we all know she's rather biased and slightly egotistical. :XD:

Okay, so I was going to go all batty over how gorgeous Nicaedus is, but then you just had to put vases into the picture, didn't you?! Now, all I see is their amazing curving curvedness, and shiny err... shinyness... They are just sooooo HAWT! :faint:

But really, aside from them, the gold was done amazingly well, and I love the depth of field that you were able to accomplish with this! Great job! :D

LOL An alchemist's work is never done. The background is a little too shiny for me, but the scene works, so don't mind me. ^__^ V,,

Another beautiful piece, Argo! Gold is my favorite obsession, so I'm biased, but you did an amazing job rendering it! I did wonder about the pose at first, but yes, it IS a wonderful "shot in the back" pose. The setting is also quite lovely. A great piece in general!
